dr ruby jamil clinical psychologist
  • I am a clinical psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. I received my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Windsor in 2020.

I have over 10 years of experience working clinically at agencies in Windsor- Essex including the Regional Children’s Centre, Maryvale Adolescent and Family Services, Windsor-Essex Catholic District School Board, and the Summit Centre for Preschool Children with Autism. My training and experience allow me to offer both therapy and comprehensive assessments tailored to each person’s unique needs.

  • I believe therapy should feel collaborative and practical. I use evidence-based approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help people manage anxiety, OCD, trauma, and related concerns. With youth, I work closely with both children and their families to support emotional growth and confidence.

    • Children & Teens – struggling with anxiety, OCD, school stress, self-esteem, or emotion regulation

    • Adults – navigating anxiety, trauma, OCD, or depression

    • Families – seeking clarity through psychological assessments for ADHD, autism, learning challenges, or mental health concerns

  • I became a psychologist because I am passionate about helping people move from feeling stuck and overwhelmed to feeling empowered and hopeful. I opened Calm Mind Psychology to focus on my passion —supporting clients with anxiety, OCD, and trauma. Seeing clients develop resilience and regain balance in their lives is the most rewarding part of what I do.

  • When I’m not working, I enjoy exercising, gardening, and interior decorating. These moments of balance help me bring presence and energy to the work I do with clients.
